The CAS verdict, challenged by South African Semenya, was highly controversial, with many high-profile current and former athletes lining up on both sides of the debate.
The inaugural edition had 30 elite athletes in the fray and saw more than 10,300 people register for the event representing 121 nationalities.
There was also a Kenyan winner in the women's race, Brigid Kosgei going one better than last year in London to lead the field in a time 2:18:20.
